Mini Pigs in a Blanket

This ia a great little treat for a small gathering.

Ingredients:

28 ounces of cocktail sausages

2 Pkg of Pillsbury crescent rolls

1 egg

1 tbsp water

Spice topping (I use poppy seeds and a pinch of salt)

 

Instructions:

1.      Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2.      Rollout crescent dough.  With a pizza cutter, cut triangles into thirds.  Take each strip and roll it around the cocktail sausage. Place the wrapped sausage on a large baking sheet, stem side down.

3.      Crack an egg and water into a dish and whisk.  Use a pastry brush to brush the egg wash over the top of each crescent rolled sausage.  Sprinkle each with a little poppy seed and a small pinch of salt.

4.      Bake for 22 minutes with oven rack up 1/3 or until golden brown.

5.      Serve warm or with your favorite dipping sauce.
